Pottery barn holiday decoration

Photos courtesy Pottery Barn

It's been a while since my last confession, or wait a minute I mean post. In my defence I've celebrated my birthday a few days in advance. Obviously I have to get a grip of myself and spend more time working on the blog, so I'll make another promise and this time I'm intending to keep it. I can't let all my eager readers down now, can I? No, seriously I really appreciate all visitors and am very thankfull for every kind word I get.

I recently found some inspiring pictures at Pottery barn of holiday decoration and I thought I'd share them with you. Those of you with a keen eye will probably notice that not all of them fall within the category but I'm afraid you'll have to overlook that fact.

Good evening!

Lonesome night

Once again my boyfriend is away on a business trip, hence my bad sleeping habits the last few days. I can't wait to see him again tomorrow afternoon (I love you, hunny!). So I guess I'll be up a while searching the net for further inspiration before I buckle up for a new episode of CSI Miami.

Sleep tight!

Cabin fever

As you might have noticed from previous posts I have a thing for cozy cottages, especially the closer to winter it gets. I guess I have fallen for the image of a snug timber house in the woods, you know the one you see in christmas movies with families in front of a roaring fire and a christmas tree while the snow is falling outside. A bit romanticized I admit, but I still dream of going to the austrian alps during the christmas holidays to experience something similar.

The world of Rebecca Thuss

I've recently found my way to the beautiful world of Rebecca Thuss. I'm really impressed with her skills. She's a photo-stylist, creative director, wedding designer AND crafter and seems it seems she has excelled in all those areas. My dream wedding would definitely be designed by Rebecca Thuss and Amy Atlas. That would definitely be a ceremony and reception to remeber.

Halloweeen

It might seem early to some, but my focus is already shifting from the lazy days of summer to.... Halloween. Sure, I enjoy the long bright days of summer, but when the vacation is over and you go back to work it feels good in some way to see a change in the season as well. Darker nights where you can light up candles and of course after a while you can begin the preparations for the holidays to come. I love christmas but in september it feels like an awful long wait until then, which has to be the reason I'm already gathering inspiration for Halloween. I really like the colors and quite honestly why don't we use pumpkins in the decor more often, they're lovely.

Autumn Colors and Inspiration

Photos courtesy of New England Home

I found these beautiful pictures at New England Home. The old rustic cabin and the warm colors appeal to me even more when the summer is about to end and colder seasons are approaching. The view is lovely and interior cozy, the perfect combination for those cold and dark winter days.

For those of you, who like Eichholtz, I've just found out that their catalogue is now available online for private induals. Hurry to check it out, lots of inspiration and things to die for, look HERE.

If you still need a bit more inspiration I would recommend you to take a look at the australian company COCO Republic. Click on "Catalogue" to browse through their beautiful selection.

Fantastic news!

I've had the best of awakenings this morning, breakfast in bed with my sweetheart while discovering... guess what? One of my favourite stores, Riviera Maison, has opened a webshop and finally they offer delivery to Sweden! Some of the items may be in the upper end of my budget, but even if I can't make the purchases right away, I'm sure I'll be able save up for the things I want the most. The items above are just a few of the things I could imagine in my home. What do you think, aren't they gorgeous?
Keep your eyes open, shortly they'll also publish the new catalogue for 2009/2010 on their website. I know I at least am looking forward to it.
